King's Lynn Town 1 Curzon Ashton 3
Saturday 8th November
Already without three suspended players, Lynn's task was made more difficult when Gregg Smith failed a fitness test.
Half chances came and went at either end but the Nash began to dominate midfield.
On 26 minutes Niall Cummins saw his volley crash off the bar and two minutes later
Lynn fell behind when a well worked short corner routine saw Sam Walker cross for Ryan Brooke to head home.
Just after the restart visiting 'keeper Hakan Burton punched over the bar to deny Ryan Fryatt an early goal from a free kick and Frew
had the ball in the net from the resulting corner only to be ruled offside.
On 51 minutes Lynn's Henry Eze was sent off for a foul on Sam Walker and four minutes later Lynn fell further behind
when once again Walker's ball found Brooke.
On 63 minutes David Bridges came to Lynn's rescue, clearing off the line and Niall Cummins smashed the rebound onto post from three yards out.
Lynn got back into the game on 66 minutes when George Thomson netted his seventh goal in as many games -
converting from the penalty spot after Frew had been fouled by Lakeland.
Hopes of a Lynn comeback were ended on 77 minutes when Andy Watson heading home a Sam Walker corner.

EDP Match Report

A 53rd minute deflected goal from Jamie Griffiths saw Lynn Reserves go down to Long Melford who completed the double over the young Linnets to go top of the table.
Although this defeat made it five games without a win, Lynn never gave up and went close to an equaliser through Nelson Moreira but he was denied by home 'keeper
Darren Moyes who had earlier produced a point blank save to deny Ben Coe.
A floodlight failure four minutes from the end added to the late drama but the game resumed after ten minutes and Melford hung on to take the points.
