King's Lynn 5 Carrow 0

For the third time this season the above teams have met to compete for the challenge cup.
The first two games resulted in ties, but this time Lynn has secured the trophy.
The match took place on Saturday at Lynn before a numerous assemblage of spectators.
The Carrow team were esteemed favourites, as Lynn were minus Hutching's services. Woodham, however, was a good substitution, at full back,
Nuccoll going in at half-back, and the team did not appear any weaker.
Unfortunately for Carrow, Colman, who undoubtedly is their best back, was carried some miles beyond his destination, and did not reach the field till after half-time.
This untoward accident was unfortunate for Carrow, and was to some extent instrumental in enabling Lynn to score three times.
When Colman did come Carrow woke up, and several good runs were effected by Colman, Morley and Horne. These players had good opportunities to score, but their shots went wide of the mark.

The defence of the Carrow backs and halves was also far from their usual standard.
The Carrow team never recovered the ground they had lost and the Lynn forwards by some capital passing added two more goals to their score, and left the field by five goals to love, besides three other goals which were disallowed for "off side."
Sadler, Towler, Cocks, and Boor, forwards, and Gill, back, showed good form for Lynn, as did also Morley and Theobald, forwards for Carrow.
In short the play of the Lynn men was good all round. Cocks gave strength to the forwards, and the security which arose from the presence of such backs as Woodham and Gill allowed the half-backs to work well up.
Mr Wilkin on presenting the cup and shields to the Lynn team in a few well-chosen words congratulating them on their victory, and also their opponents on the gallant struggle they had made. Both teams left the field amidst cheering from the spectators.
