Lynn 0 Maidenhead United 1

NEW boss Keith Webb's managerial career at The Walks got off to a losing start as Lynn suffered their second 1-0 home reverse on the bounce. New signings Andrew Cave-Brown and Andrew Fisk, who were both booked, and Louis Blois, who put pen-to-paper on the Friday, had little impact on the proceedings. The only goal of the game came after 14 minutes when Dean West failed to close down Steve McNamara and his swirling shot deceived Marshall who could only flap an arm at it as it crept in at his near post. Lynn's best chances fell the way of Jack Defty, who missed three opportunities to hit the target. Fisk had a late shot turned away by Maidenhead keeper Preddie following a Norris centre.

Lynn: Marshall, West, Blois, Warren, Cooper, Camm, Cave-Brown (Nolan), Fisk, J. Defty (C. Defty), Frew, Notman (Norris). Unused subs: Crane, Higgs. Attendance: 744.
[Note - Blois booked - not Cave-Brown]
