Linnets striker Matty Nolan was on target with a brace as The Walks outfit reached the half-century goal mark in all competitions this season.
Nolan made it three goals in five games since his arrival from Cambridge United with two first half strikes as Lynn picked up their first points of 2006.
Dunstable-based Nolan, who still harbours ambitions of getting back into the Football League, said: "I'm just glad to be playing and scoring again.
"I had a few chances to score at Cambridge United but I didn't take them and I found myself in and out of the side.
"Everyone has been great since I arrived and I'm really enjoying myself.
"I just want to do as well as I can for Lynn, who have got some really good players at the club."
Nolan's second strike was the pick of a flat afternoon, where the result was more important than the performance as far as Lynn were concerned.
The striker bamboozled everyone with a cross-cum-shot which rocketed into the Cheshunt net three minutes before the interval.
Eleven minutes earlier, Nolan had opened his account for the afternoon by converting Jack Defty's knockback from a Cedric Anselin corner.
Nolan had a chance to complete his hat-trick a minute from time when he was foiled by the legs of Cheshunt goalkeeper Michael Kalli after an initial strike from Lynn substitute Mark Heath-Preston.
Anselin had an outstanding game, as did both reserve player Matthew Peters and Nolan, while the return of Grant Cooper gave Lynn a more solid look at the back.
Half-chances came the way of both Danny Bloomfield and Defty, who were both clearly feeling the effects of the recent flu-like virus to hit the club, while Adam Smith saw his free-kick palmed away.
Rock-bottom Cheshunt rarely looked like breaching the Linnets' defence.
The Ambers saw an early Bobby Highton effort fly over the woodwork, before George Gregorio forced Aaron Benstead into a smart save a few minutes later.
Benstead, who did little wrong between the posts, was called on upon again to deny the same player deep into stoppage time.
The only blackspot of an otherwise prosperous afternoon for Lynn were bookings for Cooper and Matt O'Halloran, which means a suspension for the latter.
