Pen Pictures 2010-11

Kevin Boon (Joint Manager)
A former player who made one first team appearance in the 1974-75 season.
Kevin was Director of Football under Tony Spearing's management and filled the caretaker role when Spearing was sacked in March 2002.
He was joined by Peter Morris after eight games and the following season Peter Morris took charge.
At the end of Peter Morris' reign in November 2003 Kevin Boon once again stepped in as caretaker manager with Darren Bloodworth.
The post was made official at the beginning of March 2004 and the duo saw Lynn to Southern League Midland Division promotion.
They stepped down in September 2004.
Kevin Boon has also been involved in management at Fakenham, Diss and Wisbech.
Gary Setchell (Joint Manager)
Born: 08 May 1975, King's Lynn Age 48
Appointed 18 January 2010
Started with Lynn's Youth team in 1991 and went on to play for Wisbech Town and Fakenham before joining Kettering Town in 1999.The following season he joined Rushden & Diamonds and made 77 appearances, scoring three goals, his final appearance being in March 2003. He moved on to Tamworth but domestic circumstances saw him move back to Lynn, making his debut for the senior side at the start of 2004.
He made 15 appearances that season, scoring twice. He made a further 36 appearances, scoring twice, in the following season before being released in June 2005. He went on to play for AFC Sudbury and then spent two seasons at Swaffham before moving onto Wisbech where he became manager in November 2008.
Stuart Ablett (Midfielder)
Born: 03 Sep 1986 Age 37
Signed September 2010.
A product of the Wisbech Town youth team who has also had spells at Leverington, Wibech St Mary and Soham Town.

Jamie Alsop (Defender)
Born: 19 Jan 1985 Age 39
Signed from Ely City July 2010.
Left sided defender who joined Ely City in July 2007. His previous clubs include Newmarket Town, Mildenhall Town, Ipswich Wanderers, Cambridge City and Ipswich Town.

Chris Bacon (Forward)
Born: 24/01/84 Age 40
Signed for his second spell in November 2010.
Chris made his first team debut in August 2002 having progressed through the ranks. He was a regular scorer in the youth and reserve sides.
He was released in July 2005 by manager Tommy Taylor.
He went on to play for Grantham, Mildenhall Town (twice), Dereham Town, Noosa Lions (Australia) and AFC Sudbury.
He spent the past two seasons playing for Queensland League club Sunshine Coast who were 2010 champions.

Patrick Bexfield (Defender/Midfield)
Born: 09 Nov 1988 Cambridge Age 35
Signed August 2010. A right back/midfielder who progressed through Cambridge United youth squads and then joined Norwich's Under-16 squad for the 2004-05 season and went on to play for City Reserves making a few appearances on the first team bench at the end of the 06-07 season.
He was released by the Canaries in May 2008 and had a trial with Cambridge United but subsequently signed for Wisbech Town in August 2008 but suffered a broken arm 30 minutes into his debut. Released by The Fenmen he joined Needham Market.
He joined Cambridge City in August 2009 making 24 starts and a further 15 substitute appearances in a period which also saw a month's loan at Biggleswade.

Daniel Buhlemann (Defender)
Born: 04 Jan 1984 Age 40
Rejoined the club from Dereham Town where he made 71 appearances over two seasons scoring six goals.
Was Dereham's Player of the Year last season.
Spent over four seasons at The Walks making his first team debut in November 2007.

Scott Cubberley (Forward)
Born: 09.03.88 Age 36
Pacy striker signed in June 2010 from manager Gary Setchell's former club. Scott Cubberley progressed through the ranks at Wisbech and was the club's top scorer last season with 22 goals.
In six seasons Scott Cubberley made 183 appearances for Wisbech (inc 61 as sub) scoring 44 goals.
Left in December 2010 citing work commitments as the reason.
Charlie Defty (Defender)
Born: 17.11.83, King's Lynn Age 40
Returned to The Walks in June 2010 after a spending the 2009-10 season at Wisbech.
He made his Lynn first team debut in February 2004 having progressed through the ranks.

Jack Defty (Forward)
Born: 07.09.81, King's Lynn Age 42
In his second spell with the club having spent last season at Corby Town where he scored 12 goals.
Jack, who is team captain, made his Lynn debut in April 2002.
He scored his 100th senior competitive goal for the club in the FA Vase against Yarmouth Town on 18 September 2010, his 317th appearance..

Kieran Doherty (Midfield)
Born: 26.08.82, King's Lynn Age 41
Returned to the club in July 2010 havng had spells with Swaffham and Fakenham.
Played for West Lynn in the 2009-10 season.

Matthew Hails (Goalkeeper)
Born: 24.08.86 Age 37
Signed July 2010.
Has Ridgeons League experience with Downham and Swaffham. Spent the 2009-10 season with Reffley Royals.

Robbie Harris (Forward)
Born: 16.05.84 Age 39
Re-signed for Lynn in June 2010. Formerly with Warboys, he played for Wisbech Reserves in the 2001-02 season.
He made his Lynn debut coming on as substitute and scoring against Spalding in October 2002.
He joined Wisbech in October 2005 moving on to Stamford in June 2006, scoring ten goals in 30 appearances. He then joined Dereham Town in 2007 and Mildenhall Town the following season, before rejoining Dereham at the start of 2009-10 campaign but was released in December 2009 having made 21 appearances and subsequently joined Wisbech where he scored three goals in nineteen appearances.

Ross Kelly (Midfield)
Born: 28.09.89 Huntingdon
Age 34
Re-signed for Lynn in June 2010 from Bury Town where he made 11 appearances in the 2009-10 season scoring once.
Originally with Cambridge United he joined Norwich City's Academy as a scholar in 2006.
He trialed with QPR and Southampton in 2008 and played for Lynn pre-season 2008-09 and then went to Histon but returned in August 2008.
He made his Lynn debut in October 2008 when Lynn visited Wroxham in the FA Cup and went on to make eleven appearances, scoring one goal - that coming against Vauxhall Motors in Lynn's final match in Conference North.

Left the club to pursue a football career in Australia.

Martin McNeil (Defender)
Born: 28.09.80
Age 43
Signed in June 2010 for his third spell with the club. Born in Rutherglen he started as a trainee with Cambridge United and went on to make 41 appearances between 1998-2001. He moved onto to Torquay in the summer of 2001 and made sixteen appearances but was sacked in early January and the following month was signed by Lynn, making his debut against Salisbury on 9th February 2002.
He moved on to Fakenham Town that summer and in July 2003 joined Wroxham.
His second spell at The Walks started in the summer of 2005 but he left in January 2006 at his own request joining Wisbech Town.
He moved on to Soham in the summer of 2007 and then Lowestoft Town in January 2009 before he returned to Wroxham.
He made 48 appearances for The Yachtsmen last season scoring four goals.

Adam Millson (Midfield)
Born: 28.02.90 Skegness Age 34
Signed November 2010.
Adam joined Boston United's Centre of Excellence in July 2006 and made his first team debut in March 2008.
He made 33 league appearances in the 2008-09 season and was voted "Player of the Year".
He suffered the second leg break of his career in Northern Premier League action against Nantwich and spent time on loan with Spalding United as he regained fitness.
He was released by Boston and joined joined Grantham Town in August 2010,
Released by the club after one start and one substitute appearance to make way for Chris Bacon, Joined Stamford.

Dubi Ogbonna (Forward)
Signed February 2011 from AFC Sudbury. Nigerian-born 19 year old who scored one goal in three appearances in a short stay at Sudbury.
He signed for Sudbury from Soham Town Rangers.
He joined Histon when he was 16, but felt he had to leave after becoming disillusioned with the team's style of play under youth boss Ian Hart.
He went on to Cambridge United and Southend United before returning to Histon. He then joined Soham where he had trials with both Celtic and Aberdeen. He scored nine goals in twenty appearances for Soham this season.
The previous season saw him score twenty goals from 41 appearances.
Released by the club at the end of March 2011 having failed to appear for a reserve fixture.
Kyle Plumb
Born: 23/07/87 Age 36
Signed July 2010. Can play in either defence or attack.
Signed from Swaffham Town where he was the 2009-10 Player of the Season.
Subsequently left the club, joining March Town United

Adam Reeve (Forward)
Made his Lynn debut at the age on 17 in February 2011.
Previously with The Woottons and Reffley Royals.

Billy Smith (Winger)
Born: 27.04.86 Age 37
Signed June 2010 and another player from manager Gary Setchell's former club.
Has previously played for Parson Drove, Leverington and March Town. He was in his second spell at Wisbech have signed for them in December 2008 after two months at Soham.
Played 44 games for Wisbech scoring 9 goals.
Released December 2010.

Steve Spriggs (Winger/striker)
Born: 30/06/88 Age 35
Signed in June 2010 from Wroxham for his second spell with the club.
Originally with Cambridge United's Academy and then Ely City, Steve made his Lynn first team debut coming on as substitute against Rugby Town in August 2007 and made four appearances that season, scoring one goal plus 11 goals for the Reserves.
He joined Mildenhall Town in January 2008 making 46 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
He then moved onto Wroxham, helping them to their FA Vase Final appearance.
Last season he made 45 appearances for the Yachtsmen scoring 16 goals - five in their FA Vase run.

Brady Stone (Defender)
Born: 27.01.86 Age 38
In his second spell at Lynn and one of the first signings for the new club.
Brady made his Lynn debut against Banbury in September 2004 having been signed by the Bloodworth/Boon management team.
He went on to make seven appearances for Lynn before being released in December 2004 by which time Tommy Taylor was in the hotseat.
Stone subsequently played for Cambridge United and Cambridge City before joining Ely City in August 2006.
In the 2009-10 season he was Ely's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year.

Alex Street (Goal Keeper)
Born: 27.07.91 Age 32
Another signing from Wisbech Town, Alex was ever-present for Wisbech in the 2009-10 season having made his debut in March 2009.
In total he made 63 appearances (inc 1 as sub) keeping 12 clean sheets.
2010 also saw him training with Cambridge United and play in their Under 19 team which won a tournament in France
Placed on a two year contract in late September 2010.

Jamie Thurlbourne (Midfield)
Born: 07.10.87 Age 36
Signed June 2010, Jamie has played for a number of East Anglian clubs including Cambridge City, Wisbech Town, Haverhill, Mildenhall Town and Long Melford.
He had a spell with St Albans, joining from Newmarket Town and making his debut in August 2009 and making three starts plus four substitute appearances.
Moving on to Mildenhall he made 36 appearances in the 2009-10 season scoring seven goals.

Luke Thurlbourne (Midfield)
Born: 23.03.90 Age 34
Signed along with his brother in June 2010. He made his St Albans debut in February 2008 as a work experience player from Southend.
A number of impressive appearances resulted in Southend offering him a contract at the end of that season but he returned to St Albans for the start of the 2009-10 season.
In total he made 41 appearances for the Saints, scoring once.
He was released in November 2009, manager Steve Castle citing a lack of fitness but adding that "A fit Luke Thurlbourne is one of the best midfielders in the league".
Playing for Mildenhall Town in the 2009-10 season he made 21 starts plus two appearances as substitute - scoring two goals.

Danny White (Midfield)
Born: 30/09/83 Age 40
Signed in June 2010 from FA Vase finalists Wroxham.
He was part of the youth set-up at Cambridge from 11 until he was released, aged 17.
He spent five seasons with Diss Town - a short spell with Needham Market followed by a return to Diss and trials with Cambridge United in April 2006.
He joined Wroxham in the August of 2006 and has made 169 appearances, scoring 19 goals.

Ross Watson (Defender)
Born: 22/05/88 Age 35
Signed in December 2010 from Stamford.
He was youth team skipper with Rushden & Diamonds prior to joining Cambridge City's academy along with Jamie Thurlbourne and Steve Spriggs in June 2004.
Subsequently moved to Blackstones and then to Stamford in June 2008.

In Reserve

Tom Barnes
Forward. Former Lynn Youth player who was with Reffley Royals last year.
One of the most promising young Players on the Club's 'books'. Selected for Norfolk County trials. Has a natural 'eye for goal'.

Cairan Beales
Wide midfield player who has joined King's Lynn this season.
He was previously a member of the Norwich City Academy side. Will be looking to make progress this term.

Luke Biles
Midfield. Very promising youngster who was with Lynn Youth last year before moving to Fakenham and Dersingham after the demise of the old Club. Now back with the 'new' Lynn.

Ricky Gittens
Defender or midfielder. A newcomer to the ranks of King's Lynn Town as he makes the transition from junior to senior football. A local lad from King's Lynn.

Danny Foster
Right winger. A very tricky wide player and endowed with lots of pace who is now making the breakthrough to Senior football which will be a new learning curve. Was with Lynn Youths last term.

Zac Fountain
Defender. A newcomer to the King's Lynn ranks. He,also, was a member of last year's Reffley Royals Championship winning side. Has shown up well in the pre-season games.

Ryan Fryatt
Centre Half. A very promising young defender who was with the Academies of Norwich City and Cambridge United. Played for Dereham Town in the Eastern Counties League last year.

Jack Jonson
Goalkeeper. Promising young goalkeeper who had just started with the King's Lynn Youth side last season.

Gino Livoti
Winger. Another former King's Lynn Youth player who is very tricky and possesses a good turn of speed.
Can play on either flank. Assisted March Town in the latter part of last season.

Tom McLeish
Defender. A 'tigerish' defender for his age. Very nimble and never knows when he is beaten.
Strong in the tackle and distributes the ball well. Was with Lynn Youths last year before moving to Downham Town.

Freddie Minns
Midfield player. Another player who is in his first season as a King's Lynn player.
A former Academy player, this time with Cambridge United and will also be looking move forward this season.

Nelson Moreira
Centre forward. Portuguese player who joined King's Lynn last year from Anglian Combination side Dersingham Rovers.Strong and skilful with a powerful shot. Will be hoping for a good 'goals tally' this term.
Made his first team debut in the last match of King's Lynn FC.

George Rawlings
Defender or midfield player. Another of last year's King's Lynn Youth side before moving to Reffley Royals title winning side in the North West Norfolk League.

James Spittlehouse
Defender. Previously captain of King's Lynn Youth and an established Reserve Team player with the old Club.
Looking to 'push on' this year and stake a claim for the First Team for whom he made one apperaance in the 2007-08 season..

Tom Spittlehouse
Midfield. Younger brother of James. Former Captain of the King's Lynn Youth Team. A highly thought of player who should have a good future. Appearances could be restricted by possible University calls.
