Lynn are not now making the mistakes they did lasts season against Eastern Counties League sides.
This Boxing Day win over Thetford in the Norfolk Premier Cup followed previous emphatic wins over Soham and Clacton. And all three are reckoned to be the best in the ECL.
What a change from last season when Lynn lost to Thetford and Yarmouth.
John Durant started it off with a 23rd minute goal - a reward for his persistence. He harried Thetford defender Daniels into a hurried and mis-placed pass back and when Low was slow in coming out Durant flicked the ball home.
Two minutes later Durant swung a perfect corner in from the right and David Brooks, in space, headed powerfully past Low and two defenders who stood groping on the line.
This two goal burst put Lynn well in command, although up to that point Thetford were in contention through their mid-field play.
Low was not handling the ball safely and he was beaten by a neat McCallum shot, but was saved by an off-side decision.
It was all Lynn early in the second half. Durant was inches away from reaching McCallum's centre and Rudd had a shot cleared of the line by Spooner. The third goal came when McCallum beat Thetford's offside trap and put Rudd on his own to hammer a well-placed shot past Low.
Thetford came back in the next minute when Daniels toe-punted in from a goal-mouth scramble and in the 80th minute Franklin cracked in a tremendous shot against the bar.
It was all a bit too easy for the Linnets and not much of a test for their new look formation which had player-manager Frank Wignall at centre half, McCallum back in mid-field and Buster McNeil getting a chance at full-back which he took
