Desborough 0 Lynn 2

JOINT King's Lynn Town boss Kevin Boon chose to reflected on the positives after Lynn won their latest UCL encounter without breaking sweat on Saturday.
First half goals from Jamie Thurlbourne and Jack Defty saw the Linnets win at a canter, but in truth Town should have won by a lot bigger margin, which could be crucial come the end-of-season reckoning. Boon said: "We've missed a lot of chances but for the first 35 minutes I thought we were absolutely exceptional and I won't moan this week.
"Jack missed a penalty and a hatful, but we've got the three points and we've played well.
"When we all click then
a team is going to be on the receiving end but it doesn't matter if you score two or two the main thing is we kept a clean sheet and got the win which is a positive. "We have to come to places like this and get results and that is something we have drummed into the players.

"We did well at Boston and winning here now is even more evidence of that because the biggest kick in the teeth was what happened to us on the opening day of the season."
As against Sleaford, Jamie Thurlbourne was again the architect of Town's lastest three points.
Thurlbourne's 16th minute free-kick on the corner of the 18-yard box evaded a crowded penalty area to give Town the lead. The same player turned provider for the second goal
seven minutes later when his cross found the head of Defty, who nodded home from two yards out.
Lynn missed a host of chances to increase their lead, with both Scott Cubberley and Luke Thourlbourne going close, while an out-of-sorts Defty missed a second half spot-kick after a foul on Patrick Bexfield just inside the penalty box.
