St Ives 1 Lynn 0

JOINT Linnets boss Kevin Boon refused to be despondent after seeing his side slip to their second semi-final defeat in the space of the week.
The deciding goal came on 54 minutes when Scott Fielding shot home after Washington had shrugged off the attentions of two Lynn defenders.
Lynn fielded a strong side but experimented at the back, playing Ross Watson and Jamie Thurlbourne as full-backs.
Boon said: "This competition was never top of our priority list, which is why Gary (Setchell) and myself wanted to have a look at one or two things ahead of next season.

We still fielded a strong side because a lot of lads out of the reserves had a school cup match on the Tuesday and a reserve game on the Wednesday.
A lot of the players wanted to play after last weekend to get the Coalville defeat out of their systems.
I thought Ryan Fryatt conducted himself brilliantly on his full debut and came out of the game with flying colours.
St Ives were awarded a penalty on 79 minutes after Fryatt was adjudged to have fouled Fielding but Foster's kick was brilliantly saved by Hails.
Lynn applied some late pressure but went down to their third defeat in four games.

Lynn: Hails, Watson, J Thurlbourne, Buhlemann, Stone, Fryatt, Spriggs (J Defty), Doherty (L Thurlbourne), Bacon, Harris, White (Bexfield).
