Weymouth 1 Lynn 0

CENTRE half Dave Robinson was sent off for violent conduct in the Linnets' FA Trophy first round defeat at Weymouth.
Robinson appeared to push Weymouth's 73-year-old physio Bob Lucas and manager Fred Davies in an ugly incident early in the second half. Home striker David Laws raced over to retaliate and both players were given their marching orders by referee Robert Desmond.
Lynn were already a goal down at this stage and were struggling to master the conditions with gale force winds howling through the ground.
It was Laws who had given Weymouth the lead after just two minutes, tucking a fine cross from Stuart Heath to the right of keeper Chuck Martini.
A minute later, Lynn could have been back on level terms as Dave Puttnam nipped into the box only to see his shot tickled around the post by Paul Myers.

It was the home team, though, who had the lion's share of chances - on 25 minutes Ian Hutchinson's close-range effort was cleared off the line with the home fans screaming the ball had gone over.
Then Heath's diving header shaved the right post.
The visitors' best chance fell to Gary Mills whose curling shot was pushed wide by the diving Myers.
After the red cards were brandished in the 52nd minute, the game became scrappy although both sides continued to create chances.
Weymouth counted their blessings when Micky Nuttell struck the right post in the 79th minute with a powerful 30-yard shot.
